Welcome
Girvan Academy offers young people from Girvan and its surrounding villages the opportunity to achieve academic success in conjunction with wider achievement through a range of experiences. We aim to equip young people to live and work in a fast-changing world by developing their talents, through challenge and support, both in the classroom and on their extra-curricular activities.
Our staff is highly committed to ensuring that each young person receives a high quality educational experience, through working in partnership with parents and the local community. Our Parent Council is very supportive of the school.
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities which includes sport, music, drama, school shows, international visits and charity events. We currently have international links with Colombia and Sweden.
I invite you to explore our website as we develop it. We hope that our website will become the main means through which we will communicate with you, and share the life of the Academy with our community.
Mr. A. Rattray
Head Teacher
