This week Girvan Academy had two teams playing in different tournaments.  The U13 team was competing in the U13 Scottish Cup against Wallacehall.  The boys played very well, winning the game 2-1 with Reagan McGurn opening the scoring and Wallacehall equalising just before half time.   Girvan’s winning goal was a fabulous strike from Daniel Storrie in the 2nd half.  The next game is in round 3, against Dumfries High School at home.

The Senior Football team went through to round 3 of the Scottish Shield after beating Ardrossan Academy 6-1.  It was a great game and the boys put on a great performance with goals from Mark McLeish, Wullie Roberts, Scott Findlay, Kris Brown and Calum Thomson.
